How it works
The Radionet Monitoring range of transmitters is capable of interfacing with any brand or model of alarm system. The transmitter is connected to the power supply of the alarm system and also to the data output of the alarm system.
Once this has been done, the Radionet Monitoring transmitter offers a totally dedicated and secure communication path to your Alarm monitoring company by means of a wireless radio network.
This is achieved by the transmitter communicating with the alarm system, retrieving the relevant information, and then forwarding it to the Alarm monitoring company. The transmitter uses a verification system to ensure that the intended information arrives at the Alarm monitoring company. This all happens in a matter of seconds.
This method of communication is very different to the standard monitoring method where all communication from the alarm system to the Alarm monitoring company is transported by way of a telephone (Land line) line.
Contrary to popular belief, if your alarm system is monitored using a telephone line and your telephone line is tampered with, or damaged by an intruder; your alarm monitoring company could not be aware of this for up to 24 hours or greater. But more importantly your alarm system will be unable to communicate with the alarm monitoring company, thus your security system fails.
Your security fails because the vital information that should have been transported to your alarm monitoring company was unable to because the telephone line was not operational.
As the Radionet monitoring range of communication transmitters use a secure radio network, the following advantages are given to you:
- No need for a telephone line.
- Savings on telephone line rental, as no telephone line is required.
- Very fast communication.
- The cutting of telephone lines will not prevent your alarm monitoring company from receiving the vital alarm signals from your alarm system.
- Will not interfere with your broadband.
- Works efficiently on the battery backup of the alarm system for in excess of 24 hours, should the electrical supply to your premises be interrupted for whatever reason.
- No toll call charges.
- Very secure.
These are just a few of the advantages of the wireless alarm monitoring system. Take advantage of this now.
